Half Day and Talk by David Tayler

Our half day next Saturday 30th August will be our last half day at Rokpa House (KSD).

David will give a talk on Dogen’s teaching on following the sutras.

What does it mean to follow the sutras? In other words, what does it mean to live a Buddhist life, and how can we live one? Dogen explains that each moment of our life is a teaching. In each moment, life is guiding us. So our practice is not to transcend the daily vicissitudes of life, but rather to experience them as the buddha-dharma itself – a compassionate awakenedness in which we are always held, which we can learn to trust and follow.
